Community Yoga

Our yoga sessions are designed to be accessible and inclusive for all.

They involve gentle movements and controlled breathing practices, which calm the nervous system and safely develop physical and mental wellbeing.

The sessions enable diverse groups to come together; we help people to overcome their barriers – mental, physical, emotional, linguistic and financial – and participate in this positive and cohesive activity.

Regular yoga practice can develop a person’s confidence, self-esteem, resilience, and independence. Trust, mutual support, and friendship, can develop within the group.

I’d never done Yoga before in my life, until last week, but I already feel that it is helping. I have even been practising some of the breathing at home and it helps me sleep better. Even though I am in my 60’s, it’s only since joining this class that I feel like I have finally learned how to properly relax!
